Engagement Ring?!?

I think my boyfriend has a ring for me for Christmas. I don’t know for sure but everyone seems to be dropping hints. I was told our friend helped him pick it. And it was expensive enough he used to his Christmas bonus on it. And our friend asked him the other night “did you give sarah that thing in the box yes” and my boyfriend said “no she doesn’t know yet.” And then last night he was muttering to himself in the kitchen “oh ya i have to ask your mom before Christmas too I cannot forget.” And then when i asked him what he meant he said oh I didn’t know i was talking out loud but i just have to talk to your mom about you present it goes with another thing and just never mind. We’ve been together over 4 years and lived together for 6 months. He told me his biggest condition to marriage is that we live together first. Am I overthinking here, or does it seem he got me a ring?
