Should child’s father be there ?

My child’s father and I are really going through a rough time in our relationship. I think it’s over for good. He recently left me without warning to work things out with his family he was separated from. This is his second time leaving me this pregnancy.But has had me under the impression we would work things out as a family.I am having extreme anxiety and bouts of depression because of this. Is it wrong to only want my mom there during actual delivery?

I think as long as he is no danger to you and your baby, and you plan on him being a part of the child's life some how. It would make things easier for you if you did include him. Your baby will one day be looking through a baby book, and would more then likely love to see his or her parents together even if it didn't mean sexually. You have to remember this for your baby. My parents were in the process of divorcing when I was born, and growing up I knew they didn't live together. But I would've never known what was really going on. My parents did a great job at putting their children first. Of course it's easy for me to say all of this, as I don't know your baby's father. Just try to look at it every angle you can. Hope that helps.

I don’t think it’s wrong, but I think you need to bring this up now to set expectations and both be in agreement to how things will go down

With my 1st I wasn’t comfortable having his father in the room with me. I was 17, we had never dated or anything. We talked about it before hand and were on the same page. I still called him when I went into labor and he just waited in the waiting room. 
So I do think it’s acceptable but I also think you guys should come to an agreement before hand (or at least let him know how you’re feeling). If he’s gonna make labor any more stressful tell you’re only comfortable with your mom being in the room and see what you guys can agree on as far as when to call him and what the process will be.

my baby's father decided on his own he didn't want to be in the delivery room. I was kinda hurt about it bc he used to be my best friend at one point. he will be in the waiting room though. so, I think that's a good thing to bring up if you want him there, but don't want him *in* there :)

If he’s not abusive, he should be there if he wants to be. It’s his kid too and deserves to be there.
