Helpppp!!!

My bf’s baby mother is leaving next week to NYC and we live in LA and she’s taking the 2 children they both created and he is so sad , he cried to me because he won’t be able to see his children often anymore and I’m trying to be here for him but I feel I should do more I’m not an emotional person I don’t cry often but I do love him so so much, what more can I do for him? I want to be able to do more I want him happy but I never been in a situation like this he’s much older then me and I don’t have children of my own I wish I understood how he feels but all I can do is be here for him, be here when he cries be a shoulder for him and hold him I love him so much, what can I do in a situation like this how can I help him :(?
