I hate being lied to!!!

I’m 11 weeks pregnant. I told my husband who struggles with lactose intolerance not to get ice cream from the store. He’s asked me to help him overcome his love for dairy, he has little self control when it comes to food. So he went to the store for me today and I reminded him not to get any dairy. When he came home I asked him did he buy any and he said no. Looked me dead in the eyes and straight lied because I the receipt was still in the bag.

I got really angry, he said it’s not a big lie because it’s about food. But to me a lie is a lie. I am so upset, because what else is he lying about. Overall he’s a great, hardworking man, he gives me no signs that he’s being dishonest about anything serious. I am just so frustrated. Perhaps I am overreacting??

Just to be clear, I am disappointed that he brought dairy....but my anger comes from him lying.
