Should I get the surgery or not?

Okay a little back story. In July I found a lump on my neck (thyroid). I went and got it looked at and got an ultrasound where they then said I should get a biopsy. I got the biopsy and was told that there were some suspicious cells but they didn’t get enough tissue to determine if it’s cancer or not. They told me to come back in November to get another biopsy. So I went and got that biopsy last week. Today I went in to get my answer and he said it came back inconclusive. They didn’t have enough tissue and they got more blood than anything. So now it’s my choice whether or not to get the surgery to for sure determine if it’s cancer or not or I can wait 6 months to a year and get another ultrasound and repeat biopsies it needed.

I’m on the fence. I don’t have the means for either of them (surgery and repeat dr appt)

Surgery pros and cons:

Pros: finally get an answer. Don’t have to waste money on future appts just to be told i need surgery if it actually is cancer. Get it out of the way.

Cons: expensive and i mean it’s surgery.

Wait pros and cons:

Pros: no surgery (yet maybe)

Cons: repeat drs appts and biopsies just to be told the same thing. Expensive. Cancer could spread (if I have it, even if it’s slow growing)
