Caesarean or Vaginal?

Back story.
I had a blood / autoimmune disorder as teenager cause my blood not to clot. They fixed this issue by removing my spleen.
So my OB has told me they won't use vacuuming or forceps on the baby because they will not know if he has any issues with clotting and they don't want to risk brain hemorrhaging.
They said they I can have a vaginal birth if I want... but i think this is way risky.
I believe it will be way safer for me and him to gave a c section.
What would you do... We are both healthy and having smooth pregnancy so far. They are just being overly  cautious.

Everyone is different but with c section recovery is longer, and you cant lift anything heavier than baby. I would weigh the risk with your dr, especially for you since your blood cant clot. I'd opt for vaginal first, unless a complication occurs where baby gets stuck and a c section is necessary then it will be what it is. C section would not be my 1st choice, I dont want to be cut open unless I have to be 🙈 but that's just me. Good luck 💋

I would do a vaginal delivery as my first choice because I’ve done that 2x before and never needed any vacuum or anything like that. With my 2nd I didn’t tear and felt reasonably good the next day and went home. It was not that hard, but I know every birth is different. I would never choose an elective c section personally. I mean, unless they have actual reason to believe your baby has a clotting disorder it’s unnecessary in my mind. Unless you know this disorder is for sure hereditary... and there’s a high chance ...but it sounds like it isn’t?

If you have no more issues with the clotting, a c-section is just fine. If your baby has a clotting disorder, you could give vaginal birth and be just fine, but if something happened and your baby got stuck, it could cause issues for your baby, and then you will end up needing a c-section anyways.

I’d just get the C section, I’ve been in a c section room before & it’s not as scary as people make it seem. Also the recovery is faster 🤷🏻‍♀️ also the risk of the hematoma on the baby is pretty scary, our family just went through this w one of our recent newborns he had to be in the NICU for almost a month & luckily everything is good now but if that’s avoidable I wouldn’t think twice.
