Period on the pill?

So a little back story is I had my period October 14-18. I went to my obgyn and started on the pill Nov 2 that night. So while on it I did have a period and it was Nov 14-17. But just the other day Nov 25 I missed 1 pill. Yesterday it was bright pink then turned into brown like no other. Now I’m bleeding like a period and not suppose to have one for another 2 weeks. Is this normal? Sorry don’t know much about the pill I was always on the IUD and had that taken out in July. Me and my husband were trying but due to deployment we pushed it back so I started to take the pill instead recently. Any info would be great.
