Extremely Irregular Period & Doctor Won’t Help

Hi everyone, I apologized advance for the lengthy post 🙃

My husband and I want to conceive but my periods are extremely irregular. As a back story, I stopped taking birth control last November after taking them on/off for about 2 years. Since then, I’ve only had 3 periods (all spaces different amounts of days apart). I also have a history of hypothyroidism. I am turning 27 in December as well.

I’ve asked my doctor if I could have PCOS and about any infertility and she’s just told me there’s no way to know until we TTC.

Yesterday I thought I got my period (last one was in early September) but it was extremely light and today there hasn’t been any bleeding. This has really been my main stress and I could really use any insight anyone has. I’m also looking into getting a new doctor but it won’t be until January 1st due to switching to a new insurance plan.

Does anyone have any similar experiences or insight?
