Need some advice and sorry. X

I've missed 2 nearly 3 periods it came came in late and I've been on for exactly 31 days slowly coming off today (I think). It's been an odd 31 days where i had light spotting at the start, really bright red but clumpy and clotted blood then this last week some horrible brown gunky stuff. I've spoken to a doctor and they seem to think I've had a miscarriage. Is there a way they could find out and does this seem normal? Has anyone else been through this or had similar? I don't know what to do with this information. Can someone help? My head's a mess. We've been trying for 6 months. Ish. Thank you in advance.
