Need advice from other mothers or any L&D nurses.

I’m almost 38 weeks pregnant ( FTM) and have been hearing a lot of bad things recently about the hospital I’m supposed to deliver at. So obviously this worries me because I would like to be as comfortable as possible as I’m already quite nervous. There is a much nicer hospital about 30 minutes away but my ob is not associated with this hospital. I found out online however that they do accept my insurance. Am I able to just go there instead when I go into labor ? Would this be a problem?
