4 year old doing tattoos?

In my opinion that’s a great tattoo for a 4 year old considering the gun is very shaky and is nothing like drawing with a pencil. And if she was begging to do it, I don’t see why not. It’s not like she got a tattoo on herself. But I don’t think it makes him a bad parent. If my son wanted to tattoo me I’d let him

- He’s an experienced tattoo artist
- They agreed on the design in advance
- He had her practice drawing it first
- Had her practice with the machine without a needle to get used to the weight
- He controlled the foot pedal so he could stop the machine anytime he wanted/needed
- He helped her guide the machine for the actual tattoo 
Given all that I don’t see a problem. Sounds like everything was well thought out and it was a nice bonding experience for them. Tattoos aren’t my thing but to each their own. I don’t think it makes him a bad parent in any way.

Personally I wouldn't, but I'm also not trained to do that. If the dad is a trained tattoo artist and he was watching her (and maybe even helping because that strawberry looks great for a first attempt), I don't see why it's anybody's business but theirs. She didn't get a tattoo, nobody got hurt, and it was probably a one time thing. I'm curious as to if she's going to be a tattoo artist when she gets older.

Every parent has their own choice in how to raise their child its their choice. As long as the child wasn’t tortured, beaten, or starved who are we to say how another should raise their child.

I own a tattoo studio with my husband. If our son wanted to tattoo us - and he did all that effort- I’d let him . That’s actually super cool

So because my kid begs me to do something I should let them do it? Noo. Especially not with a tattoo machine. I have many tattoos, her daddy does too, but there's a huge chance of infectiin, nerve damage, conrqmination, etc. That can happen if the tattoo isn't done right. Not to mention that my kid could be harmed by the machine (you know needles) if she drops it or really anything happens.

There's no way in hell id allow my child anywhere near me with a needle or tattoo gun. There's a reason you need years of training and licenses.

I would not. There are reasons people are trained and require licensure to be tattoo artists. It would be sad if some sort of accident happened. Plus, with my luck my kid would just draw some random line or blob.
