How do i make an appointment?

I have a vaginal infection and I’m really confused on how to make an appointment. I know how to of course but is there a specific name this kind of appointment is called? I don’t want to get on the phone and say I need to be checked for a vaginal infection unless that’s how you’re supposed to.

Honestly, if you go regularly and you talk to the receptionist about your symptoms, the doctor may be able to diagnose you over the phone and call in a prescription. If they don’t know how to help, of course they’ll have you come in. And if you’re not comfortable over the phone saying you think you may have an infection, just tell them you need a gynecological exam.

Call your doctor and say you need to make an appointment. If they ask what you need to be seen for, either tell them it's a gynecologist type problem or just tell them something. You can tell the doctor when you get there. The front desk doesnt need detailed information about your problem
