Need to vent?!?!

My husband has lost his job and we have bills coming up in the next two weeks and we don't have any Christmas  presents for our two boys and he is leaving to go to his cousins wedding in Tennessee next week for 4 days.. I don't think he should go so he can continuing working odd jobs to keep making as much money as possible but I tried to tell him that I don't think he should go but he says he can't back out on the wedding well that makes me feel like his cousin is more important than his wife and kids.. am I overreacting???

If he's in the wedding I wouldn't make him cancel. He's trying to be a good guy. If it's just attending the wedding then yes, stay home.

I don’t think Christmas gifts should go on the important list right now bills yes. I mean if you’re gonna be late on the bills and not get evicted or anything then you guys should be ok with him going to the wedding I understand you’re pregnant and not working so you’re probably super stressed especially at this time of year but everything’s gonna be ok❤️

Can he collect unemployment?? If not, I understand that your family should come first, but I don’t think that means putting his family aside.. especially if he already made that commitment. I think he should cut the trip shorter if anything and get to working. But he’s going to do what he wants and instead  of waiting on him you should just go back to work yourself or do what you have to do. Husband or not, sometimes you have to fend for yourself especially when there’s kids involved.

I think he should still go. I understand where you're coming from. But, he has prior obligations and if it's all paid for.. Then what's the difference? That money would be just going down the drain anyway. Maybe you could help find a way to make a little extra money. Maybe you guys have extra things you don't need that you could get rid of. Stuff like that.
