Should I try again or let it go?

So over a month now I was seeing this guy, we hooked up the very first night and talked since then. We would see each other twice a week, everything was fine. But the past week I started feeling insecure the fact that I would have to hit him up first and he would here and there. He’s a horrible texter and better in person. So Sunday I just asked him what we’re looking for. I told him I was taking him seriously and he said he takes me seriously too but it doesn’t feel like it to me. And I mentioned that I was tired of texting him first and feeling like I’m making most effort. So I haven’t replied to him since Sunday and he hasn’t message me or anything. I just feel like crying because I guess I didn’t know how much I liked him. Idk what to do.
