About 30 minutes to 1 hour with both of my kids. With my first, the contractions were consistent or strong enough to dilate me so even though they did start, I still had to be induced.
With my second, contractions started slowly and progressed Fast! I labored at home for about 2 hours then went to get checked at the clinic and I was at a 4. We were told to go directly to the hospital and stop nowhere. That was a 30-45min drive and my son was born less than 30 minutes after arriving to the hospital

I never did.  They had to give me petocin. Aka medicine to start my contractions.
