At what point do you say enough?
My husband and I have been together for five years and married for two of those years. We have a three month old daughter and a dog.
Before the baby was born it was always a battle to get him to take the dog out or take the trash out or do something to help out around the house.
Since the baby was born it has gotten worse.
We both work. We are both tired. Yet he always makes it seem like he is more tired than me.
I drop off the baby to the sitter in the mornings, I work, I pick up the baby after work. Then when I get home I get the baby settled, whether that involves a bath or a bottle. Then I have to wash any dishes from food that we take to work, the baby’s bottles, and my stuff from pumping at work. Make dinner, wash those dishes and pack both of our lunches for work the next day. Also get the baby’s bag ready for the sitter.
After all that I always end up having to walk the dog. 😒
If the dog ends up going in the house because he couldn’t hold it anymore he’s always “whelp he doesn’t need to be walked anymore.” We have a pit bull. They have so much energy. Thankfully right now he has a new toy that is taking up how energy.
Don’t even get me started on when it comes to cleaning the apartment. That also falls on me.
We have argued and talked about all of this. Yet things are still the same. I’m now at the point where I just can’t keep living like this.
Then to top it off with the way he is acting he expects sex every night. I’m sorry but with the way things are sex is the last thing on my mind.
Idk what to do anymore to get thru to him. A friend suggested I go stay with my mom for a few days to see if that will be a wake up call for him.
I love him and I want to make things work but I can’t be the only one trying.
