Anyone on here do a mo they budget!? Give me ideas I’m trying to start using one and I want to do it right!!

My husband and I have one. We use excel to manage it. 
At the top is our take home pay after taxes & insurance. 
Below that is a section for all our monthly expenses that we need...rent, utilities, groceries, car insurance etc. 
Then below that we have our subscriptions, Netflix, Spotify etc. things that we can cancel if we need to save money. 
Below that is our student loans & credit card debt. We have it split up into two columns, one is the minimum monthly payment and the other is what we can afford extra to try to pay them off faster. 
If you set up the formulas right it should give you how much spending money you have each month. We keep some of this for ourselves, clothes, going out to eat stuff like that. The rest goes into our savings account.
