Is abortion painful ?

I will be having an abortion tomorrow and to be honest i am completely lost on what I should do? My pain tolerance is a 3 at best. So I’m worried that it might hurt. 
And is there anything I should or should not do before my abortion? Silly question but am I supposed to shave my lady hair off ?

Leave your body hair alone. It’s fine. 
If it’s a surgical, I would recommend some form of sedation. Whatever they provide. 
I had a surgical without any sedation. I couldn’t even keep down the Valium that they gave me. The procedure itself was only uncomfortable and felt like cramping, but the cervical dilation beforehand was the most painful thing I’ve ever experienced. It only lasted a minute or two, but still.
