What’s happens at a medical abortion?

Mine is booked for 11th, a week today and no idea what to expect. I’ll be about 9 weeks then aswell 😞 
So what happens at the appointment and then afterwards? 
Do I need to do anything to prepare?

When you check in they’ll have you fill out some paper work and give you some information (I got a pamphlet). They’ll prick your finger to make sure you aren’t too anemic for the procedure. They’ll do an ultrasound, you can see it on the screen or ask for a picture if you want, but you dont have to. They’ll ask you if anyone is making you do this, if this is your choice, etc. The nurse will come in and make you eat something and give you instructions for care afterwards. The doctor will come in and ask if you’re having any second thoughts. They’ll give you the pill and watch you take it. They might have you sit for 15 mins or so to make sure you can keep it down. They write you a prescription for the pills you have to take the next day and usually write a prescription for birth control as well. They’ll have you schedule a follow up appointment to make sure it was successful. Then you go home. 
You will probably have a lot of vomiting and diarrhea. The next day the intense cramping and bleeding will start, after you take the second set of pills. Just take it easy and be kind to yourself. It will feel like a bad period and the stomach flu at the same time. I bled for a couple weeks. I was 7w3d.

So I went in they will do a finger prick, an ultrasound....a counselor will ask you if you are there of your own will and if anyone is forcing you to terminate....the dr will give you a pill there.....send you home with pills you need to take the next day...and the cramps and bleeding start a few hours later....you have to go back 2 weeks later to ensure the procedure was successful.
