How to ask my mom to get on the pill?

Hello, i'm currently 17, I'm not sexually active but I want to, I was wondering how can I ask my mom to get the pill, I've never been to the gynecologist before, I know I can get it there but how do I tell my mom?

Is she going to think I want to have sex?

Also yes my boyfriend and I plan on using condoms too.

I just want "more" protection cause I don't want kids like never, he doesn't want them either.

UPDATE the pill isn't free and I do not work yet (I'm still at school) so I can't get it myself
