Question for woman who have miscarried?

Hi guys. My last period was the 23rd of September. I took a pregnancy test on Halloween, October 31st. Three to be exact and got a strong positive on all. We were so excited (and shocked) to be having a little one and then exactly two weeks later on November 14th I woke up to period like blood. As the day went on the bleeding got heavier and heavier, and I developed cramps like I’ve never had before. I knew I was miscarrying and went to the hospital that night around 10. They diagnosed it as an incomplete miscarriage. I then bled until the next Monday. So less than a week. It was devastating and hard the next following days, but it only made us realize how much we want a baby. Even though it hasn’t been long we have decided to try again after my next cycle comes. They say it takes 4-6 weeks for your period to come back, and you ovulate before it starts. I didn’t have a d&c and I was 7 weeks along. I believe i May have already ovulated since I took an ovulation test about a week ago. I’ve never done opk’s before so I don’t really know how they work. It wasn’t too dark maybe light- medium so I know I must’ve been around ovulation. My question is how long did it take for any of your periods to come back after a loss? I’m very anxiously awaiting it and hoping it shows up sooner rather than later considering I didn’t have a d&c and I wasn’t that far along. Also was your period heavier like they say it will be?
