How much is too much to put on a baby registry?

What items should you not put on the registry?I don’t want to seem like I’m asking friends and family to buy us everything, so what items should i definitely put on there? And what items should i avoid? I have diapers in different sizes up to size 4 on the registry is that too much?

I put everything I wanted because you get discounts on the items left on the registry after a certain period of time. I had things on there like walkers, size 4 diapers, toddler car seats etc. people bought a lot of it and so I have things in storage but it’s nice not to worry about certain items.

Put everything you would want if you were buying everything yourself. Then look at the list and try to make sure there are several things at various price points so people can find something that fits their budget. As someone else said, what others dont buy for you, you will likely get a discount on if you purchase later for yourself. 
A registry isn't an "I need you guys to buy me all this" list, it's an "all of the things on this list would be useful gifts that no one else has bought for us yet" list. No one will think you rude if you have a large registry.

Anything and everything.  I always make sure I have things in various price points so everyone can find something to purchase.  I also used it as a list for us.

I put everything on there that I knew we would need (I used it as a list for us too because most people don’t look at your registry anyways) except clothes. People will ALWAYS buy you clothes.

As stated, I had everything in the registry. It was a list for me mostly. And TBH like 90% of what I had wasn't even bought. We were trying to go with gender neutral colors and stay away from pink but what Happened? We got what we wanted from close friends who understood why we were doing it but everything else was pink and girly and covered in glitter (I friggin hate glitter!) A lot of what was on my registry was "must haves" and honestly I'm doing just fine without them. We got diapers up to size 3 and we even had someone buy us the baby bowls for when she starts solids. I know from personal experience when I would go to baby showers, I'd pick a few cheap things because I couldn't afford the larger items. Or, gift cards. We got a ton for the baby shower and didn't have to use our own money to buy diapers for like 2 months lol.
