Argument

Every day I see all my friends boyfriends getting them flowers, cooking them food, writing them cards, etc... and I think I get jealous because it seems like my bf just doesn’t care to do any of that. He doesn’t even take time out of his day to tell me how beautiful he thinks I am, or that he appreciates me, or anything. He honestly makes mean jokes more than he says nice things. We were just talking today and I brought up that he should look at me and feel happy and like I’m beautiful to him, and he goes, “well you’re the most beautiful girl in our house.” Like what? It’s just me and him and our dog in the house so.... then he started laughing so hard but I took it to heart. He can’t even tell me I am beautiful without it being a joke. I always work so hard to make sure he’s happy, let him know how handsome I think he is, feed him, etc.. but when I think about it, when’s the last time he took time out of his day to tell me he appreciates me, or compliment me, or try and make my life easier. Idk what to do, I love him to death and I do feel like we’re pretty happy. It’s just hard when everyone around me have boyfriends who go above and beyond and mine just doesn’t lol. Advice?
