Daycare- Bad reference?

Hi all! My husband and I had our first daycare interview yesterday. She seemed great, reasonable price, registered with the state all the important things. She gave a list of references and I went ahead and called them. One of them was suppose to be a woman and a man answers. Claiming to be her husband he’s basically like ‘what do you want’ so I tell him the point of my call... he says ‘I’m not going to give a reference, take that as you will’ and hangs up. 😳 clearly he didn’t have the best manners but it threw me off! I called and told her he wasn’t pleasant, and she says ‘I must have their old home phone number, those two are actually divorced’ so I asked for additional references. I’ve gotten ahold of 2 and they were both GREAT. Do I let this one bother me? Chalk it up to an angry ex? FTM here, I’d appreciate your thoughts!
