Having children

Me and my partner have had a rough patch and we’ve made it through it. Since being together he’s been certain he didn’t want children, also knowing I did. A few times in heat of moment said oh yes we should have children but not yet then always went back on it. Today during sex he said to me this isn’t the time but I think we should have children (later on not yet) and talked about being left if something would happen to either of us.. I’m made up! Anyone else had this?
