What does this mean..

My boyfriend and I got in a big argument about his past because over something I know hes lying about and he told me “shut your ugly ass up”... He never ever called me this before so I shut up and started balling my eyes out.. He immediately said he meant to call the girl ugly we were talking about and meant to say to me “shut your stupid ass up” and said he thinks i’m so attractive and sexy and I’m completely hurt. I was already insecure and he knows this majorly. Advice please. This is a man I been praying for a baby for and a marriage and much more with... Starting to question it. Advice 😢 I keep replaying it in my head and he keeps telling me don’t mention it again because he feels “bad”. And said it on accident. How’s that possible. Advice 😢😢😢😢😢😢
