Mommy needs a break..

Long story short, my girls and I have this tradition to gather together for yearly trip. Most of us have been for more than 30 years. Unfortunately due to certain circumstances, I’ve missed a couple of years and this year I could probably make it. Also, I live in the US and I haven’t been back to my home country for few years. I really miss home.

Problem is I have a 5 months old daughter now and the trip is going to in April which she will 8 months old then. I’m not breastfeeding anymore.

Question is : is it wrong of me to want to go for this trip for a week and leave my daughter with my mom? She said she will take care of her.

My husband thinks I’m wrong..
