Braxton Hicks?

Question

I woke up at 5 this morning thinking I needed a tampon (I was half asleep lol) because I was having period cramps. And then I remembered I was pregnant but I was pretty uncomfortable on and off for like 45 minutes or so.
Were these Braxton Hicks contractions?
(Second time mom but I never had any with my first that I knew of.)

Sounds more like actual labor contractions, which is normal now :) 
Just time them if they come back!

I had this same scare Sunday!!! I live in Nc and we just had about 14 inches of snow we were freaking out because I thought I was in labor!! I was having intense period cramps that felt like my period was about to start and also pain in my back that hurt like crazy! I’ll be 36 weeks on Thursday so maybe that means he will be arriving soon!

My BH are tightening of the uterus but not painful.  Maybe some women's are.  The real indication is if they are consistently getting closer together.

I get these too! The thing to watch for is if they become more painful over time and are consistent and happening in a pattern. These are likely not Braxton Hicks but are normal unless they are intense and close together. My Braxton Hicks cause my heart rate to go up and I can touch my belly and feel that it is right. Sometimes I also feel like my abdominal muscles are sore as if I have been doing an an workout! Haha
