Ovarian cyst?

My doctor found my right ovary has a cyst on it & said 2 weeks of pelvic rest & a follow up ultrasound in 6 weeks. She basically said hopefully it goes away on its own or it might burst which would cause intense pain & a hospital visit or it can be removed by surgery which risks losing an ovary. Im devastated because it’s been 9 weeks since my D&E and we just want to TTC again. Now we have to wait yet again... has anybody had these? Any advice to avoid rupturing it?? Also I’m assuming I cannot ovulate until it goes away?

Google “functional cysts”. My first cyst showed up when I was pregnant, and I’ve been getting them since/after mc. We’re still watching while I’m ttc so I’m not sure what the final word is, but I’m hoping my eggs are releasing. It did with my pregnancy so who knows! Mine have never burst but I now get cramps mid-cycle.

Yep. 10cm cyst on right ovary. Had to have it removed 11/6/18 along with my tube. Don't panic because we have been blessed with two ovaries. If it has to be removed, you have another one. It will not lower your changes of conceving. We will try this month since we didn't want to try the same month of my surgery. Good luck and best wishes

I have PCOS so I always have them but I had a very large one when my RE checked before an IUI attempt and they put me on birth control for a month and it went away.

My OB found a cyst on my right ovary also but it only appeared when I became pregnant. My OB said it was nothing to be a huge concern over because they come and go, as long as it doesn’t start causing me any pain. He suggested a healthy diet is most cures on keeping them at bay ((although i live a healthy lifestyle)) Hope you get some real answers to ease your mind & you get your rainbow baby. Xx 💕

I had cystS.. I ended up in the ER the first time bc it was so painful.. turns out the only thing they could do was morphine and a trip home. Second one I had I just stayed at home and rode it out - no sense it racking up ER bills for morphine. They are painful.. I'm unsure of your sizing of the cysts but no one ever mentioned surgery to me.. mine would just rupture and I'd be ok 2-4 days later. Once I stopped taking birth control they stopped showing up. Apparently BCPs are supposed to surpress cysts but they had the opposite effect on me.
