How do you know which formula and bottles to pick?

I’m lactose intolerant so I’m thinking baby most likely will be too... I’m only 13weeks6days now but I’m starting to think. Is it more just trial and error when baby comes?
And with the bottles should I just get a few different ones and try those as well and find out which ones he sticks with and then buy more depending? 
I’m a first time mom!

I purchased 3 different brands and just gonna try them out. Whichever one the baby likes, I’ll get more of and return the rest.

It took us a couple of months to find a good formula but we eventually learned she had CMPA anyway. I used Gerber Extensive HA. It’s about 21$ a can which is a little more expensive than regular, but cheaper than Alimentum or Nutramigen. We also used Dr Browns wide neck bottles or Playtex drop ins. The new baby I’m going to try Nursh bottles. (It’s like the drop ins but the liner is silicone & washable). I’m not 100% sure if I’m going to breastfeed this one, because my formula fed babies seem healthier than my breastfed ones. (Seems like my EBF babies are plagued with allergies like me but my formula fed babies are not) 😔

You want a bottle that minimizes air intake for the baby other than that it depends on yours and babys preferences but I would reccomend sticking with as few different types of nipples as possible because nipple confusion can impact how much they are getting to eat. 
I like the all silicon bottles with the wide "natural" nipples.. these are what I bought because I want to avoid reflux and keep the nipple shape at least somewhat natural I plan to use only breast milk if I can for at least 6 months but want daddy and big sister to be able to help / participate In feedings. 
Of course baby boy may hate them no matter how much thought I think I put into it and then my plan wont matter lol! 
I used avent bottles last time around and a lot of people rave over the Dr brown ones
