Birth Control Effectiveness?

so i started birth control two days ago, and my doctor said that i should wait at least a week or two before having sex without a condom. but some of my coworkers said i should wait a month. i did the quick start. when is it safe?

if you started taking bc on the first day of your cycle its from day one trustable. if you didnt it takes a week. also if you forget it once you can have a chance that you get pregnant but that chance is gone after a week.

Read the paper that comes in the birth control back it should state when it’s safe but if your doctor told you a week then I would trust them since they did get you on the pill.

Birth controls are different so the start of the effectiveness is different too. If your doctor says a week then I would trust that. I personally would wait the month out just to be more careful but it’s totally up to you if your doctor said it was okay.
