My man does not agree with tying tubes ....

Okay so !

I am due in February with my second child. I was letting my man know that 6 weeks after birth I was going to get my tubes tied. He had let me know that he would like another child.. not right away but 2-3 years down the road.

I am a woman in the trades and every time I am pregnant it sets my career back since I cannot safely preform my job. ( I work in chemical plants ). Two kids is enough for me, I have never planned on a 3rd. And would like to really focus on advancing in my career sooner then later in life. While I respect how he feels I am still wanting to tie my tubes. He let me know that’s “selfish”. I know it’s my body but it’s also our life. I honestly don’t even know of a happy compromise at this point.... what would you do? How would you handle this as I feel kind of stuck with what to do.
