Fetal heart rate and miscarriage (if knowing will make you feel better)

Esmeralda Sparks

I found a site that breaks down miscarriage risk based on fetal heart rate and gestational age. I'm linking it here for those of us who just feel better when know what to expect.

I don't know if this app supports linking so you might have to copy and paste that into your browser to see it.

Some of these numbers are a little scary, but don't forget, a 43% chance of miscarriage is still a 57% chance of success!

If you look around on that page you can find a lot of other numbers that might reassure you if you've had multiple miscarriages. Even after 3 miscarriages, most women have a 60% chance of carrying to term. The numbers are even better if you already have kids.

Sharing this because I find it super reassuring-- but obviously don't look at this site if the numbers are going to make you feel worse!
