No Period After Miscarriage

I had a miscarriage in late October. I was four weeks five days and because it was so early they said I did not need the D&C and would start my period about 4-6 weeks after my miscarriage. It’s now mid December and I still haven’t had a period. I’m not seeing anything on the pregnancy tests but I’m going to take one more in the morning to be sure. Should I call my doctor and ask her what she thinks or wait it out to see if my period shows? My husband and I want to try again but want to ensure everything is working properly.
