How often is you little one eating?

I’m going to start by saying he has HORRIBLE reflux and is on Zantac 3 times daily. I’ve been home with him up until the 11th of this month. He’s ALWAYS ate every 2-3 hours. He’s almost up to 6oz now and sometimes he will only make it to 1:45 mark before he’s hungry now days. I don’t want to increase the amount because him spitting up. His daycare has been complaining because he “needs to eat every 3-4 hours instead of 2-3 hours”. He’s a nice sized little fella and even with reflux he’s had NO trouble gaining (🐷). Any advice on what I should do? 😩

Definitely tell the daycare he has reflux and that he doesn't need enormous bottles that could irritate his reflux JUST so they have to feed him less. It's their job to take care of him, and that includes feeding him when HE needs it. He's not a 4 year old on a meal and snack schedule, he's a baby whose needs change. Do they want him only pooping and peeing so many times per day as well? They're being ridiculous and you should stand your ground. Plus, feeding a baby a bottle is so simple, it's not like it's even a lot of work. They're being lazy for sure.

Daycare should not be complaining, sounds to me like they’re being lazy. If they get annoying about it I would call your pediatrician and get a note saying the baby needs to eat on demand or every 2 hours whatever works best for your baby then the daycare has to comply

We also have reflux & do Zantac 2x a day. She eats 4-6 oz every 2 hours. Our pediatrician gave us the okay to start rice and oatmeal and stage 1 purees after her bottle to help keep the contents down. Since the actual food is heavier, it doesn't come up as easy

My daycare can be the same way. They seem to think that every baby is the same and should follow the same schedule when that is not true. All babies are different and have different needs. Talk to your doctor and see what they think. I have had to get a doctor's note because daycare was not following my instructions
