Spending New Years in Church

I asked by bf of 3 years what he wanted to do for New Years. He couldn’t think of any activity but said he would look online for something. Then I said, it doesn’t have to be specific, just a general idea of what you would like to do. Then he said “I usually go to church on New Years”. There is a lot of backstory this story but I’ll keep it short and answer questions I’d necessary. So, long story short I say, “you’ve never invited me to spend New Years in Church”. He responds with, you don’t want to spend New Years in Church that’s why. And I say, how would you know, you’ve never invited me? And he says, I know when someone wants to go to church for New Years. I have spent New Years in Church with my family, not every year but I’ve have done this. I was raised Christian and shelter. He was raised Christina but neglected and often refused to go to church until around age 14. This bothered me because his excuse for not spending New Years in Church was that I didn’t want to. Not only is it not true, but he has forced/coerced me into having sex when I didn’t want to (and I have a sexual assault history). So I know he has no problem with doing something even IF I actually didn’t want to. Additionally, when I asked him “when was the last time you spent New Years in Church?” he says: Sophomore year of college. He’s 26 now, that was many years ago. He wasn’t going to church b4 we even got into a relationship. And he had an argument with his Bishop so we always go to my home church now because he is not comfortable in his church. Bottom line, he tried to blame me for the reason he doesn’t go to church for New Years. And it hurt the most because when he tries to have sex and I bring up scripture, he gets mad about it. He once threw a Bible at me. Literally AT me. Then proceeded to yell! He has no problem coercing me into sex but simply inviting me to spend New Years in the Lord’s house is difficult. I am hurt by this. What do you all think?
