VAGINITIS?

who’s ever had vaginitis, the doc said I have a minor overgrowth of bacteria so she prescribed antibiotics to get my PH back to normal, I guess its just minor though. Although my vulva and mons pubis area has been itching? Well will the antibiotics affect my IUD? is vaginitis easy to treat?

Yup just took my last pill last night. They told me it’s common, especially in women who are within the first few months of being sexually active. I’m on the pill and they told me it would not change the effectivity.

Vaginitis is a general infection of the vagina. I think you’re specifically referring to BV (bacterial vaginosis). It’s fairly common so don’t worry. The antibiotics will not effect your iud and the itching is likely from yeast caused by taking antibiotics
