Breastfeeding and birth control

While I was in the waiting room at my son's pediatrician's office I got to talking to this sweet lady who had the cutest 4 month old daughter. She told me she was nursing her daughter at first but when she got the Mirena put in it dried up her supply. I've never heard of this happening and I'm so glad she told me because I was planning on doing the same myself. Does anyone else have experience with this? Is it only the IUD or is it all forms of BC?
