Is he right?

Kat

I just gotta know if this is like some kinda rule. So I’m doing the Christmas shopping this year (we take turns every year) and I love giving gifts. But sadly his family said only kids get gifts. So for his niece and nephew I got them both a gift. But then I saw an amazing gift for the 2 year old and got it. And then to be fair I made sure he had an extra gift too. I was so happy till my husband came home. He told me I couldn’t give them 2 gifts cause it wasn’t fair. According to him, your only supposed to buy them one gift. He says if you give more your basically shoving it in his families face that we make more money. Is that true? I would never think that way or be so rude but hubby feels like I’m insulting everyone by doing that. My family didn’t celebrate Christmas growing up so I honestly don’t know. I just wanna know for future Christmas. Is there a rule or something about it? So I can only get one gift per person Incase they make less than we do? I really gotta know!
