How do I find a OB/GYN?

Preferably one that does monitor me closely because I have had previous miscarriage, I am over 35 yo, PCOS and thin lining? How do I find out they would be the kind of office that if I call them about an impending miscarriage they actually want me to come by and check me out and do something about it (meds, stitches, whatever).

Honestly, Google the doctors before you call the office. There are a lot of reviews out there. Also tell the office point blank that you’re high risk. There’s no guarantee that any OB in your area will tend to you the way you’re hoping they will, but it’s best to find out upfront if you can.

Start by looking at your insurance provider’s website to see who is covered by your plan (I have Aetna and they offer a “DocFind” feature.)  Then choose a radius or other filter criteria (I didn’t want to go more than 5 miles, and I wanted a woman). 
Write down the names of people who fit your basic criteria, then start googling and see who has reviews that sound like the type of person you want. 
And as with everything online, take the reviews with a grain of salt. Some patients will have just had a bad day and want to take it out through anonymous internet ranting, and some people are just unreasonable. I always look for several reviewers saying the same thing— if 4 people said the appt was rushed, that might mean the doctor rushes. But if 10 people say the doctor has a great bedside manner and only one person is griping about how the doctor wasn’t nice enough, I’ll think that last person was probably being over sensitive.
