Hitchhikers

First time posting in this room so for one if it’s not controversial enough, if it’s not in guidelines or if it’s already been posted I’ll remove it.

The last few days driving around in my area (a fairly large city) I’ve noticed a lot of hitchhikers. I assume because it’s a busy travel season and people think their chances of being picked up are greater. Would you pick up a hitchhiker? Or have you ever?

I never have and don’t think I’d take the risk but the other part of me does feel bad and I bet some people have some very interesting stories. Just curious on anyone’s experience or thoughts
