Abnormal pap?

Hello Ladies! I am a 23 year old mother of 2! I recently had a Pap smear & received a call, stating that I need to see a specialist for further evaluation & a biopsy because they stated they found abnormal cells growing. I’m a bit worried because most of my family members have died from cancer & my aunt passed away 2 years ago due to cervical cancer & my other aunt is currently fighting ovarian cancer. I know I’m probably overthinking about this all but I just need some advice or help. Any & all advice is appreciated. Please and thank you!

I’ve had abnormal Pap smears for 4 years now. Don’t stress until they tell you something is wrong. I did that in the beginning and it didn’t help anything. Good luck!

Ask them test for HPV, if they haven’t already. That can cause an abnormal result with or without harmful changes to your cervix. I heard Pregnancy can cause it to be abnormal too.

I had abnormal cells at some point. Usually it clears up on its own. I'm my case it didn't so at some point they burnt away cells. The test after that all was fine. As long as u go get ur tests done I think it's all very manageable.

I will tell you the only time mu pap has came back normal is when i was pregnant any other time its abnormal. So i go they do the biopsy and everything comes backfine. Dont stress
