Moving forward with a partner after diagnosis?

I was just recently diagnosed with hsv 2. I told my new partner and we are now waiting for his results. If i have it and he doesn’t, how can we move
Forward? Is wearing a condom enough? What about oral sex?

First thing you should do is try to remain calm (even though that seems impossible hah) but there is always a way to move forward once you're diagnosed. When i was diagnosed with type 2, it took me a while to accept it and to fully understand what it meant to me and my romantic life. I honestly found that my doctor was the best way to answer my questions because if you dive into the internet wormhole you just end up freaking out and getting depressed. So yeah, definitely talk to your doctor.
But to answer your question, I am currently in a relationship where my boyfriend is clean. Moving forward it just means that you should always use a condom because it will help prevent his chances of contracting it. Have him always wash his hands with soap and water after he touches you near where you get outbreaks. There is also medicine that you can take that suppresses it and leads to fewer outbreaks and therefore it decreases his chance of contracting it.
The most important thing though is to listen to your body. If you see a red splotch starting to form or feel kinda flu-like, hold off on getting intimate for a couple of days because that could mean that you're about to have an outbreak and that you're shedding (contagious basically). As time goes on you'll understand the signs your body gives you bettter, but until then just try to stay calm and not stress out (lots of stress means outbreaks, so if you're feeling crazy stressed give it a couple of days till you get busy so you're sure).

Hi don’t feel bad at all I was diagnosed three years ago,with hsv .The worst day of my life all I did was cry 😢 I thought my life was over and no one would want me because of what I have. But god opened my eyes and sent me an angel. I met my future husband I told him what I had,he was  upset at first but he said it doesn’t matter he still loves me and always will, we’ve been together every since. I love him so much ❤️
