I have had HSV2 for ten years. In the last four years plus I can’t remember having an outbreak. I am 37 weeks pregnant with my first child and have been on an antiviral for 10 days. Today I’m feeling like I might be having the start of an outbreak (itching) but I do not have any sores at this time. Has anyone had this happen this close to delivery? Obviously I will do what is best for baby delivery wise, but curious to see if anyone had a similar experience. I feel it is rare for me to have an outbreak after so many years, especially being on the antivirals.
