Normal bleeding?

Hi girls, I'm just wondering if this is normal after getting s copper IUD fitted, I got it in 3 days before the bleeding started.
The bleeding is also heavy, thanks in advance x

Heavier periods and prolonged periods are common with the copper IUD especially the first 6 months.

I've had mine for 5 years now and my periods look like that in the first 6-12 months. Now they tend to be around 7-10 days. It's a fuckin struggle sometimes but it's honestly the best BC there is.

Totally normal, also yeah very weird/scary at first. Def. Feel free to go to your doc with concerns though! I did and it was really reassuring!!
