My boyfriend went to a party and was dancing with his best friends wife; they are Latin so I know dancing is cultural. But for some reason I’m still upset. He never dances with me because he says he can’t dance. Every time I go to parties with him he never dances, but when I’m not there he dances with other people. I think I’m going to break up with him.

My dad was in a band while I was growing up and my mom was his manager/lights/sound board... She was also in charge of getting people on the dance floor. She's an awesome dancer but wanted to do some partner stuff too. So her and the neighbors husband got together each week (while dad was over the road trucking) and would practice couples dancing. Well his wife got jealous and accused him of cheating. (nothing ever happened. I was home every time he was over. They cleared out the living room and practiced. Plus my mom's too innocent for that😂)
Well the wife kept making a stink saying "you never dance with me!" and he would tell her "I can't dance".... Finally it came out "I can't dance WITH YOU ."  the lady wasn't too graceful herself. But he really couldn't dance outside of these few routines he and my mom had practiced. And when he tried to do the routines with his wife, she didn't do them the same as my mom. So it messed him up.
Maybe he's just more comfortable dancing with her than you...? Maybe you guys just need to practice more together..?
Obviously not if you're leaving him anyway, tho.
