He pulled a knife on me

Last night my baby’s dad pulled a knife on me and said he’ll kill me. He showed up unannounced at midnight wanting to spend the night but I told him no we’re not together and we’re not gonna be together and that’s when he did that . I walked away to the door and he put the knife down saying he was just playing and he’d never hurt me. Do people really play like this?
