Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome

As someone who is nearly 22, and have not been long diagnosed with pcos I’m now wondering why I wasn’t taught about it in school. Average statistics say that it effects 1 in 5 women so the fact that it’s not on the curriculum is baffling to me. As an anxious teenager I felt hideous because I have facial hair and back hair and my voice was a little lower than “normal” girls. I think it’s important for young girls to know that they shouldn’t have to feel ugly because they have a condition through no fault of their own.
