I don’t know if I should move away from my family

Ok so I live in the uk but ever since I was a kid I’ve always wanted to live in America with most of my family ( not my parents or sister). I have no reached college and I’m deciding where to go and my cousin is going to a college in America that I’ve had my eye on for a while now and I would like to go there but I’m worried about my dad. My dad suffers from depression and he always says that I’m the only thing he lives for, this really pulls me back because I love him and I don’t know if he could cope 3 years without me. He’s not very well off at the moment and he wouldn’t be able to visit often and guessing from what I’ve heard it’s not easy to get a few hundred dollars to fly back and forth regularly, so I don’t know what I should do.
