My weight loss journey (sorry long)

Amber • Mother of 5, wife, and nursing student ⭐️

So, when I met my husband in 2011 I wasn’t to concerned about my weight I was about 115-125 pounds, I didn’t work out, and I didn’t really watch what I ate, but I also did not eat that much....

(Me in 2011)

When I met my husband, he asked me to be his girlfriend and shortly after I got pregnant and I had gained a lot of weight with that pregnancy, and had my son in 2013....

9 months pregnant....

My son may 5, 2013, 10 pounds exactly....

So, after he was born it took me about 6 months to get back to my normal weight and feeling good again

December 2013....

After 2014, depression hit me hard I ate a lot, I didn’t want to go any where do anything, I hid it from everyone and still smiled for my children but to myself I was alone, for 2 years the weight kept coming and coming, and I just didn’t care, I was wearing sweats, just putting my hair in a bun, I didn’t care, finally my body started hurting and I told myself I wanted to live for my children and I stepped on the scale and I was at 222, the highest I have ever let it get, I couldn’t even look at myself in the mirror.....

A picture of the day I started working out again in 2016....

That same night after working out my now husband proposed to me and we set a date to get married so I had less then a year to lose some weight which was my new goal....

I started to try to count my calories by downloading the lose it app, and I was walking a lot, and riding my bike when ever I had a chance, and dropped 20 pounds. I went from 222 to 198 right before my wedding..

(Sorry the only picture I have in my phone of my wedding day)

After my wedding I still kept the diet and exercise going because I wanted to stay with it and lost another 10 pounds, but was not losing any more after that and I tried everything I dropped sugar, only drank water, no ice cream, cookies, or bread, I was confused, so I went to the doctor. So, I’m sitting there on the table in the doctors room, after just peeing in a cup, waiting for the doctor to come in, waiting to hear the worst, starring out of the window down at the playground across the street, the doctor comes in to tell me the reason I’m not losing anymore weight, and is because I’m expecting, I’m just sitting there in shock...

I didn’t tell my husband until Father’s Day and wrapped a positive test in a box and put it into his real present... I don’t think he was happy or sad, he was shocked too because he started cleaning, he starts cleaning when he doesn’t know what to do, when he’s lost for words... Not what I was expecting but nothing we could do about it...throughout the whole pregnancy I was sick, throwing up, sick, so I lost weight, and gained weight....finally when due date came, she wasn’t ready...I went two weeks past due date and thankfully, I’m the one who suggested something wasn’t right because they would have let me go longer because my water never broke but when I went in and told doctor to check he sent me to hospital to check, and the hospital said thank goodness I did because my fluid was really low...

I had my daughter march 3 2018, she was 9 pounds 13 ounces, and when they weighed me that day I was 200 pounds exactly...

After I had my daughter I had C-section infection surgery to remove the infection, and gallbladder surgery and so my weight has been up and down....In September I started a diet which helped me lose weight a lot, it started as a 4 week challenge and I have continued on with this challenge to this day since it has been working so well

(A picture of me before the challenge)

And last month I had my tubes removed because my family is complete and will hopefully be the last surgery I will need for a while, and stepping on the scale this morning I am 171 pounds, but I also do know that you should not always go by what the scale says.........

(In 2017 with my husband ). And (Now)

My husband says his New Years resolution is trying my diet.

Thank you for reading my story and if you try the diet I have on here hopefully it helps you too!
